Who we are

Laps4MD is a grassroots nonprofit initiative founded by Brad Miller, a racer living with Becker muscular dystrophy, that encourages the motorsport community to turn laps into support for those affected by muscular dystrophy (MD). Laps4MD partners with organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD) and Jett Foundation to fund critical research, care, and advocacy for families facing neuromuscular disease diagnoses.

In addition to supporting these vital programs, Laps4MD is excited to host families affected by muscular dystrophy at IMSA races throughout the upcoming year. We aim to create magical, lifelong memories by providing these families with exclusive access to the paddock, grid walks, driver meet-and-greets, and the exhilarating sights and sounds of professional sports car racing—an experience we want them to never forget.

We invite you to join us in this exciting campaign by pledging $1 per lap completed by the winners in one or more classes this season:

  • GTP class for $2,330

  • LMP2 class for $1,525

  • GTD class for $2,000

  • GS class for $825

  • TCR class for $800

Or choose any amount you’re comfortable with—every dollar helps accelerate treatments and improve lives for people living with MD.

Your generous contribution would directly support vital programs, from groundbreaking research to family resources and summer camps that bring joy to children with neuromuscular conditions.

To make your tax-deductible donation, please contact Brent Furbee. He can be reached via phone at 410-829-8162, as well as by email at brent@laps4md.com. Laps4MD USA will be launching a website later this quarter, in hopes it will be live by the Sebring weekend!

Thank you for considering this opportunity to blend your passion for racing with a powerful cause. Together, we can turn every lap into hope.

With gratitude,
